Non-immigrant Visas
A non-immigrant visa is issued to persons with a permanent residence
abroad who wish to be in the U.S. on a temporary basis
for many reasons - for example, tourism, medical treatment, business,
temporary employment, art performance, or study.
RESIDENCE
The U.S. government grants temporary, conditional,
and permanent residence visas.
PERMANENT RESIDENT
A Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) is an immigrant
who has been granted the privilege of living permanently in the U.S.
Permanent residence status is conferred via a stamp
in the LPR's passport and a “green card”.
An LPR has the right to work in the U.S. and may seek naturalization.

There are several ways to obtain US Citizenship.
Through US Parent
A child of U.S. citizen parents can obtain citizenship
at birth or afterwards but before the age of 18.
Through US Grandparent
A grandparent can transmit citizenship to the child
of a U.S. citizen when this parent can't lawfully do so.
Through Naturalization
Granting U.S. citizenship to a Family-based LPR
and some Employment-based LPR
requires that the Green Card holder fulfill specific
requirements established by Congress
in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), such as:
